Tibia osteomyelitis

Due to the bundle length, which can be dissected from the border of the upper and middle thirds of the lower leg to the level of the ankle joint, the flap is suitable for soft tissue grafting on any surface of the distal part of the lower leg and foot.
This patient with chronic osteomyelitis of the tibia in remission underwent excision of the scar tissue of the lower leg and coverage of the defect with a sural flap. The skin defect in the donor area is covered with a split skin autograft.

The healing of postoperative wounds was uneventful; the photographs show the limb after the operation and at 2 and 12 months as well.
