Soft tissue defect of the hand after explosion on chemical factory.

A series of wound debridement was carried out. Due to contusion angiitis early soft tissue plastic surgery was not possible.

To cover the defect a local dorsal interosseous flap was used as well as a split skin graft in areas of exposed muscle tissue. No postoperative complications were observed.

The patient recovered and started to work. In the long term, the function of the hand has yet to be improved through the reduction of scar tissue.
